Singapore on Chinese New Year looks like a grand party of it's own. I had the opportunity to walk around the city, while meeting a friend who was stopping over for a few hours. I felt like more of a tourist than he probably did! I was amazed by the display of light, color and sound set up to usher in the Lunar New Year. Some of the Chinese tunes sounded remarkably similar to some old songs back home. Does music have a universal source? I wondered..Need to put everything down in pictures soon..am working on it as we speak! ;) I am bit by the travelling bug, and hope to travel and explore new worlds during my lifetime...startin sometime soon! ;)

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Trial and error....yeah that's a nice concept of human learning developed by psychologists of yore..all those decades ago, psychologists observed mice running around in cages..and declared that their mice learnt through the method of trial and error. Are we just the same as those mice? Do we run around all our lives and learn just through trial and error? We would like to think that as the "superior" species, we have "higher cognitive abilities", but really, what is it? How do we learn? Is it trial and error or something else? Thinking about it..

Well, as with anything new, blogging is exciting, yet scary, since I've yet to figure out how the site works fully. So till I get used to it ( I am a bit on the lower side of the T.I scale...T.I..technological intelligence scale..so I'll take a bit longer than all ure click-happy bloggers out there!) please bear with me for any glitches in my posts..they will be rectified in good time..based on the good ol' trial and error method of life!

Hello fellow bloggers...this is my first blog to start off what I hope is an enlightening and exciting journey into thoughts and writing. My own space on the web has been an idea I've been toying with for sometime now, but being the procrastinator I am, I've tended to put it off for tomorrow. What made me start one today? Well, today is the start of the Chinese New Year holidays, which will last upto Tuesday, so that gives me good incentive to start something I've been meaning to do for so long. As for what I intend to write about, well, everything! I have a theory on just about everything, so well, here goes! So Happy Chinese New Year to all of you and here's to good health, creative thinking and some cool writing! :)
