THE WEEKS THAT WERE

Heartwarming generosity, kindness and love,

Exciting places seen and experienced,

Meeting old friends, renewing old bonds-creating new ties.

Saying goodbye, waiting to meet again,

Not an easy thing to do by any means..

Memories of places visited fill me with joy and sadness all at once.

Making plans-having them materialize in totally unexpected ways,

Ruffled feathers, unkind phone calls,

Pleasant evenings, with a tinge of guilt.

This is what life has been in the weeks that were,

Varying shades of emotion, a rollercoaster ride,

Didn't expect life to be this unexpected-yet lived to tell the tale!
